]]>A probiotic which helps the calf resist infection from common farm pathogens which cause major digestive upsets. It should be used at birth and with bought-in calves to ensure the establishment and maintenance of a beneficial gut flora.
Dosage – Two strokes of pump (5ml) administered orally as soon as possible after birth or to bought in calves on arrival at farm then 2.5ml before morning feed on the following 2 days.
Trials have confirmed that the use of Protect will reduce calf scours by 83% and increase average calf growth rates by 31%.
For Protect to be successful it must be used from the start of calving even when there is no sign of scour, as waiting until there is a problem is too late. Provita Protect should be given to new born calves at birth; bought-in calves; after digestive upsets or after antibiotic therapy.
