Description

Provita Protect is the only licensed probiotic for the prevention of calf scour. It is the only probiotic proven in medicinal trials to reduce scours in young calves and is a totally unique product in terms of its efficacy, quality and stability.

A probiotic which helps the calf resist infection from common farm pathogens which cause major digestive upsets. It should be used at birth and with bought-in calves to ensure the establishment and maintenance of a beneficial gut flora.

Dosage – Two strokes of pump (5ml) administered orally as soon as possible after birth or to bought in calves on arrival at farm then 2.5ml before morning feed on the following 2 days.

Trials have confirmed that the use of Protect will reduce calf scours by 83% and increase average calf growth rates by 31%.

For Protect to be successful it must be used from the start of calving even when there is no sign of scour, as waiting until there is a problem is too late. Provita Protect should be given to new born calves at birth; bought-in calves; after digestive upsets or after antibiotic therapy.
